CNC Machine Operator Job Description
Pay: $20-25/hr.
Shifts:
 * 1st Shift Mon-Fri
 * 2nd Shift Mon-Fri or Mon-Thu
Position Overview:
 * We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator with experience in operating and maintaining CNC equipment such as beam lines, press brakes, lasers, or plasma cutting tables. The operator will be responsible for producing high‑quality metal parts according to specifications, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
 * Previous experience operating CNC machines such as beam line, press brake, laser, or plasma table.
 * Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
 * Familiarity with metal fabrication processes, cutting, forming, and finishing.
 * Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
 * Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
 * Attention to detail, quality‑focused mindset, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
 * Physical ability to lift materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
 * High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (beam line, press brake, laser, or plasma table) to cut, bend, and form metal parts.
 * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
 * Perform machine setups including tool changes, calibrations, and adjustments for different projects.
 * Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and quality.
 * Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and basic preventive maintenance.
 * Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
 * Follow company safety protocols and ensure proper handling of materials and equipment.
 * Document work performed, track production, and report issues to supervisors as needed.
Work Environment:
 * Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, metal, dust, and machinery.
 * Requires use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toed boots, hearing protection).
 * Regularly scheduled shifts, with overtime available as production demands.
