Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in the Middleton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students' lives and work as part of a committed pastoral and inclusion team.
This full-time position is ideal for someone who has previous experience working in secondary school settings, particularly with students displaying challenging behaviour or those in need of additional emotional support.
Responsibilities
* Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with behaviour management strategies
* Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Implement behaviour support plans in collaboration with teaching and pastoral staff
* Help to reduce exclusions and improve student engagement
* Act as a positive role model, building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a secondary school environment is essential
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures
* Calm, resilient and empathetic approach to supporting young people
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Must be available to work 5 days per week and start immediately
