We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work in our Likewise Sheffield service, joining an extraordinary frontline workforce with a focus on people experiencing problem substance use who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic life experiences. You will be joining a local team who share a commitment to people being safe and building lives that have meaning and value for themselves and their families.
You will be a core member of Humankind’s expanding national Psychology Team.
About you
The person we are looking for will be community focused and driven by shared values. Someone who looks forward to engaging with individuals who have very difficult lives and have struggled to access traditional forms of support. You will have the skills to offer creative and flexible individual work, alongside clinical supervision, consultation and reflective practice groups.

You will make a difference by:
* Supporting the assessment, formulation, and intervention of complex case work, including delivery of highly specialist psychological assessments and trauma-responsive interventions to people who use our services and those in the professional network.
* Providing highly specialist evidence-based interventions to service users which address both problem substance use and concurrent mental health difficulties.
* Contributing to the delivery of reflective practice groups, team formulations and other psychologically informed approaches for clinical and non-clinical teams.
* Developing, piloting and co-facilitating training, group work and reflective practice sessions.
* Providing clinical supervision to a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team.
* Providing local clinical leadership, co-ordination and supervision for staff, trainees and volunteers employed by or attached to the psychology service, under the general direction and supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist
* Facilitating the ongoing development of a positive and supportive team culture.
* Leading on aspects of service delivery and contributing to audit and evaluation.
You will need:
* Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical Psychology accredited by the BPS.
* Registration as a qualified practitioner Psychologist by the HCPC.
* Experience in delivering highly specialist psychological assessments.
* Experience of working therapeutically with people who use drugs and alcohol.
