What the role involves: As a Supply Worker, you’ll step in to support schools when regular staff are away—keeping learning on track and classrooms calm. Each day might look a little different, but typical duties include: Delivering prepared lesson plans Creating a safe, welcoming learning environment Following school policies and behaviour expectations Supporting students 1:1 where needed, including those with additional needs Occasionally lending a hand with extracurriculars or break duties What you’ll need: A valid DBS (or willingness to apply for one through us) Previous experience working with children or young people Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths Strong communication and adaptability—you’ll be working with new faces and different routines Bonus points if you have: A Teaching Assistant qualification Experience working in a classroom or SEND setting Why join Protocol Education?
