SEMH Teaching Assistant - Northampton- SEMH Teaching Assistant\n\nFull-Time | Immediate Start | £85-£120 per day\n\nAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?\n\nDo you have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or Support Worker?\n\nAre you considering a long-term career in education, advocacy, or youth justice?\n\nIf so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.\n\nWe are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Northampton, working with children and young people who face social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will be to help students overcome barriers to learning by supporting their emotional regulation and promoting positive engagement in the classroom.\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n\nProviding one-to-one and group support for students with SEMH needs\n\nSupporting students with emotional regulation techniques and self-soothing strategies\n\nAssisting with personal care if required\n\nCreating a calm and safe environment to help students thrive academically and emotionally\n\nWorking closely with teachers and safeguarding leads to support vulnerable learners\n\nPromoting inclusion and helping young people build positive relationships\n\nWhat we're looking for:\n\nExperience working with children or young people with additional needs (formal or informal)\n\nA calm, resilient, and empathetic approach\n\nAn understanding of safeguarding practices\n\nA genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children\n\nSomeone looking to develop a career in education, therapy, youth work, or similar fields\n\nRole Details:\n\nLocation: Northampton\n\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm\n\nPay: £85 - £120 per day (depending on experience)\n\nStart Date: ASAP (subject to compliance checks)\n\nContract: Long-term, with the opportunity for a permanent role\n\nThis SEMH Teaching Assistant role in Northampton is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students with SEMH, SEN, and trauma-related needs in an educational setting.
