Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a caseload and will need to be experienced in completing Safeguarding Adult Enquiries, assessments, and reviews in a timely manner with older people. You should have experience with record keeping procedures, working as part of a team, and possess very good organisational skills. You will work to tight timescales and commission cost-effective personalised support to meet the assessed needs of service users as part of the reviewing process. Managing Safeguarding as part of Making Safeguarding Personal is a development opportunity for the post holder. You will provide structured, positive supervision to social workers and CCO, and support in complex case work. You will contribute to the development of good, evidence-based practice in risk enablement, safeguarding, the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, and Court of Protection work. You will collaborate with partner agencies to support adults with care and support needs, and their carers, and pursue opportunities for professional development (e.g., Practice Educator or Best Interest Assessor).

About you
You will have experience working with individuals with complex care and support needs, with knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and related legislation. You should be proficient in IT skills and promoting independence, choice, and control for service users living in the community or a care home. You should be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, hold a full driving licence, and be willing to travel countywide. You should be flexible and eager to learn.
