Location: London office and home – 3 days in the office per week

The Role:
* To carry out administrative tasks as required to support the underwriting team.
* Attend and organise key client meetings, including responsibility for agenda circulation, minutes and preparatory analysis.
* Maintain records of pipeline submissions and ensure this is kept up to date.
* Take responsibility for filing special acceptance submissions and collating and maintaining relevant logs.
* Assisting underwriters in the pre-bind underwriting process for new business and renewals.
* Inputting and monitoring workflows and ensuring tasks are completed by the underwriting team members.
* Assisting in the day-to-day operation of delegated authority contracts, including review of slips and endorsements.
* Assisting underwriters with the production of management information, including statistical analysis and production of reports for monthly management meetings, product oversight groups and other committees as necessary.
* To take on the responsibility of operating and monitoring premium income.
* Collate all relevant information required for any internal/external audits.
* Maintain a high level of professionalism and prompt service when dealing with key stakeholders, including coverholders and brokers
Your Skills and Experience:
* Prior relevant work experience and understanding of the insurance industry required
* Casualty or delegated authority experience is a nice to have but not necessary
* Keen interest and curiosity of data; able to interpret information and identify trends and patterns
* Advanced numeric and analytical skills.
* Expert knowledge of MS Excel, ability to design complex formulae and pivot tables
* Strong administration and data entry skills.
* Highly organised, with the ability to work to deadlines and effectively prioritise.
* Confident to manage upwards and ensure team members are completing their required actions!
* Ability to work independently using their own initiative and also well as part of a team.
