Overview
Join AXA UK as a Senior Business Development Manager and help shape growth within the SME market. You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships, supporting the existing AGH portfolio, and identifying new business opportunities to drive expansion. With shared global responsibility for managing our SME and Individual Intermediary sales channels, you’ll support the Intermediated SME market and help deliver tailored healthcare solutions worldwide.
AXA supports smart working and flexible time arrangements. You’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, with potential to move to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending office locations, visiting clients, or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing
* Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the intermediary channel for SME.
* Support and grow the existing AGH SME portfolio through strong relationship management and knowledge sharing.
* Develop and strengthen intermediary relationships, increasing their understanding of the AGH proposition.
* Provide regular updates on service improvements and collaborate with intermediaries to enhance their experience.
* Source, onboard, and develop new intermediaries to expand the portfolio.
* Support the Business Development team through coaching, upskilling, and joint initiatives.
* Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure timely renewal of existing AGH business.
* Collaborate with local partners and cross-functional teams globally to develop multi-tier relationships and secure portfolio growth.

What you’ll bring
* Proven track record in business development with consistent achievement of targets.
* Strong understanding of the international health market, particularly the Intermediated sector, and awareness of competitors.
* Excellent relationship and account management skills, with the ability to develop and grow existing client relationships professionally.
* Self-motivated and capable of working effectively independently in a dynamic environment.
* Customer-focused approach with strong negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skills across global teams and regions.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
* Excellent communication skills, including delivering presentations to diverse audiences at all levels.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to learning new systems; willing to travel internationally and within the UK as required.
