About the role:
As Product Specialist for Wheeled Excavators, you’ll take ownership of a globally significant product line, helping to shape the future of JCB’s wheeled excavator offering. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure the range is competitive, clearly positioned in the market, and aligned to customer needs. This is a strategic, hands-on role that will see you collaborating across Engineering, Commercial, and Regional Sales teams to grow our global market share and strengthen the “Why Buy JCB” proposition for the X-Series platform.
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Leading the global product strategy for wheeled excavators, developing detailed product plans and specifications
2. Translating customer feedback and market insight into product improvements, sales tools, and technical documentation
3. Managing the product roadmap, including machine options, attachments, and digital features such as LiveLink
4. Supporting new product introductions, pricing decisions, and product mix strategies to improve profitability
5. Driving the Yellow Series strategy to streamline configuration and reduce product complexity
6. Working with Marketing and Sales to develop targeted campaigns, training materials, and launch plans
7. Supporting global sales teams with customer visits, product launches, and technical enquiries
8. Benchmarking competitor products and offerings to maintain a clear market advantage
This will be suited to you if…
9. You have a solid understanding of construction equipment, ideally excavators and are passionate about product innovation
10. You’ve worked in a product, technical, or commercial role with exposure to dealers, customers, or international sales teams
11. You’re confident communicating technical details in a clear, customer-focused way
12. You enjoy working across departments and building strong relationships with Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
13. You bring analytical thinking and commercial awareness, using insight to influence product decisions
14. You’re flexible and willing to travel to support customers, events, and regional teams around the world
