Fire Risk Assessor
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Location: London
A leading higher-education organisation is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessorto join its central safety team and help deliver best-in-class fire safety management across a large, complex estate.
The Role
You will act as a key technical authority for fire safety, providing expert advice and oversight across a diverse portfolio of academic, residential and public-facing buildings.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking, reviewing and managing Fire Risk Assessments (PAS 79)
* Providing technical and legislative fire safety advice to senior stakeholders
* Supporting new builds, refurbishments and events from a fire safety perspective
* Delivering fire safety audits, inspections and emergency planning
* Facilitating fire drills, incident investigations and training
* Helping to embed a positive fire safety culture across the organisation
Requirements
Essential:
* Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification with 2+ years' experience or NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate with 3+ years' operational experience,
* Strong working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
* Experience delivering PAS 79 Fire Risk Assessments
* Experience providing fire safety training and technical advice
* Ability to interpret drawings, plans and building layouts
* Good IT skills (Microsoft 365 / cloud systems)
Desirable:
* Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification
* Registration on a recognised Fire Risk Assessor Register
