We are looking to strengthen our Clean water project team with a MEICA Delivery Manager, based in Burham. You will report to the Framework Commissioning Manager.
A MEICA Delivery Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and verified to meet the project's requirements. This position bridges the gap between design, construction, and operational performance. Below is an overview of the typical roles and responsibilities:
1. Roles of a MEICA Delivery Manager - Water
2. Act as the central figure coordinating the MEICA and Commissioning aspects of the water supply construction project during the Pre-construction phases.
3. Ensure alignment between design intent and commissioning goals, driving the project toward successful system handover.
4. Establish a Delivery Team during the preconstruction stages to facilitate communication between Design Teams, Proposals, and the delivery team. The MEICA lead will ensure relevant Subject Matter Experts and Engineers attend meetings.
5. Inspect and coordinate survey works and teams. Update the Compliance and Commissioning Plan to ensure existing Asset Condition surveys are completed.
6. Manage change control and communicate it to the delivery and commercial teams.
7. Ensure a robust procurement strategy is in place, with long lead items identified and an expedition plan established.
8. Manage work sequencing to ensure the project programme is understood before handover, evaluating high-level data and interdependencies such as procurement, installation, power on dates, safe control of operations, and testing phases.
Technical Reviewer
Oversee and validate the design to ensure it meets functional requirements, safety standards, and operational needs of water supply systems.
* Identify and resolve design inconsistencies affecting commissioning outcomes.
* Support the Technical Manager and proposals manager in preparing information for governance gateways.
* Ensure understanding of temporary equipment, electrical loads, load shedding, and temporary power supply requirements.
* Ensure process parameters align with compliance requirements at each project stage, including water procurement and disposal.
* Align procurement strategy with the program, ensuring water quality risks are assessed.
Construction and Commissioning Strategist
Develop detailed commissioning strategies and plans, considering interdependences between process streams and constructability aspects. Define KPIs and success criteria, ensure deliverables are ready before handover, and develop sequencing plans with digital tools.
Quality Assurance Advocate
Champion quality assurance processes to meet standards, oversee documentation and testing, and review quality plans.
Coordinator and Facilitator
Serve as liaison among stakeholders, coordinate system integration, and communicate project challenges regularly.
Problem Solver
Identify and mitigate design or commissioning challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure performance goals are met.
Compliance
Ensure adherence to statutory, environmental, and safety standards, and verify alignment with legal and contractual obligations.
Safety
Review project resources and competencies, identify hazard study needs, and escalate issues as needed.
Training
Assess training needs through GAP analysis, brief teams on procedures, and provide feedback for improvement.
