You will be at the forefront of safeguarding neighbourhoods by addressing environmental crime and tackling antisocial behaviour throughout the borough.

Responsibilities
* Produce thorough reports and recommendations and build high‑quality cases that may result in prosecution.
* Conduct intelligence‑led patrols across key borough locations, involving outdoor, foot‑based work in all weather conditions.
* Use specialised crime prevention and investigative techniques to address community concerns.
* Work in close partnership with other enforcement professionals and agencies to achieve joint objectives.
* Shape strategies to combat crime and disorder, fostering safer public spaces.
Qualifications
* Experience in enforcement or investigative roles, with a proven track record of customer service.
* Strong communication skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
* A full current UK driving licence.
* Ability to undertake a standard DBS check and be accepted in the Sussex Police accreditation scheme.
* Physical fitness and readiness for frequent walking and outdoor duties.
Working Conditions
* Average of 37 hours per week, including rostered evenings, weekends, bank holidays, early starts and late finishes.
* Require a 365‑day service with lone working and work outside in all weather conditions.
* Use of a body‑worn video camera in line with council policies.
* Four training days per year, with an alternative day off.
* Risk management through formal and dynamic risk assessments.
