Job Summary
This role is for an CT Radiographer within the Radiography department at Russells Hall Hospital and Guest Outpatient Centre. The position involves working predominantly in CT, providing high‑quality diagnostic examinations across a diverse range of specialist procedures, and participating in the extended day, weekend, night and bank holiday service. The department operates four state‑of‑the‑art scanners, including 2 × 128 Somatom Definition Edge, a 64‑slice CT Scanner, and a Somatom Pro.Pulse.
Essential Requirements
 * Diploma of the College of Radiographers, BSc in Radiography, or equivalent.
 * Current HCPC registration.
 * Post‑graduate experience in CT with a varied workload.
 * Experience of working as part of a team and strong written and verbal communication skills.
 * Evidence of current life‑support, IV cannulation and CT specialty/training courses.
Desirable Skills
 * Post‑graduate qualification in CT.
 * Post‑graduate experience handling emergency CT service, unsupervised examination, and CT colonography.
 * Teaching / mentoring experience.
 * Intermediate life‑support training.
Key Responsibilities
 * Perform high‑quality diagnostic CT examinations across a diverse range of procedures.
 * Provide an emergency service outside normal CT working hours.
 * Train and mentor Radiographers, Radiographer Aides and student Radiographers in CT.
 * Assist the Principal CT Radiographer with day‑to‑day management of the CT department, ensuring smooth running of CT scanning lists.
 * Work independently when required, adhering to Ionising Radiation Regulations and local CT rules.
