The successful candidate will teach Biology to Years 8, 9 and 10, working 3 days per week, and will deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a passion for science.
Duties as Biology Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Biology lessons to Years 8–10
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the delivery of the science curriculum
Assess, record and report on student progress in line with school policies
Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively following the school’s behaviour policy
Set and mark homework and classwork regularly
Contribute to departmental meetings, planning and moderation
Support students in developing their practical and analytical skills
Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities
Ideal Biology Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Biology and General Science
Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Biology Teacher.
