Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions.

About the role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and records are updated accordingly.
* Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
* Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that requests are addressed and concerns escalated.
About you

Our ideal candidate must:
* Hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have at least 2 years experience in a similar care environment.
* Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to responsibilities.
Additional requirements
This role will require:
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be covered by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
