About the role: We are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school to support pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour. Within the role, you will work both with small groups and on a one-to-one basis with learners with varying needs, This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about breaking barriers to learning for pupils. Experience of working with children is essential for the role, but we welcome applications from individuals with experience gained in: * Children's residential homes * Mental health support roles * Youth offending Key responsibilities: * Supporting pupils with additional needs * Promote positive behaviour * Work closely with class teachers and other education professionals * Assist with general school duties as required * Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding Essential requirements: * At least 5 GCSE (grade C/4 or above), including Maths and English * Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or relevant experience in a similar setting * Confident supporting young people with challenging behaviour and/or reluctant learners * Ability to engage pupils with SEND * Flexible and adaptable * Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude * Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one Why join EdStaff: * A dedicated c...
