Job Summary
Senior Radiographer/Mammographer (Bank) Guildford Hospital – Radiology – Bank Contract – Ad Hoc. We offer a competitive hourly rate depending on experience and state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Deliver a high‑quality diagnostic imaging service, exercising advanced technical knowledge and a caring, empathetic approach to patients.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a high‑quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
* Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
* Work with leading practitioners and cutting‑edge practices, equipment and facilities.
* Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
* Operate within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the HCPC code of conduct.
* Participate in departmental audits and quality assurance programmes.
* Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
* Ensure equipment is safe, fit for purpose and report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
* Maintain competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media.
* Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
* Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
* Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
Qualifications
* BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
* Postgraduate qualification in an area of specialisation (desired).
* High levels of technical knowledge.
* Understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff.
* Respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors.
* Proactive, forward‑thinking approach to work.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
