Due to the continued growth and expansion of the company TES have an opportunity for a Business Development Director - Switchgear to join our team. Job Title: Business Development Director - Switchgear Location: Remote - based in UK / Ireland Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent Working Hours: 40hrs / week - Negotiable Salary: Competitive, negotiable depending on experience Role Summary Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing and driving sales strategies and customer relationships pertaining to our electrical switchgear, modular and power distribution portfolio primarily into the European Datacentre market. You will contribute to our business growth and revenue streams, utilising your market expertise in identifying and developing new and existing sales opportunities. Main Responsibilities: Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for switchgear portfolio products. Building and maintaining relationships with key customers, potential clients and contractors. Providing technical support to customers and offering solutions based on their needs. Monitoring market trends, competitor activities and customer demand to identify new business opportunities. Lead tender and bid strategy for regional and global data centre projects Assisting in preparing and presenting competitive bids and proposals, including technical specifications and pricing. Tracking sales performance, preparing reports for Senior Management and forecasting future sales activity. Working closely with our estimating department in the preparation of sales tenders using company tools. Making timely offers and focusing of conversion to orders through lead management and opportunity funnel management. Generating the agreed sales volume along with profitable sales through effective sales process. Identifying new business opportunities and creating clear strategies to convert them. The Person Minimum 7 years in B2B sales or business development and at least 3 years low voltage switchgear A strong network within the data centre industry Proven success in winning large scale data centre projects Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferable) Technical and commercial fluency - you can talk to engineers and C-suite alike Why join TES Group?
