The Commercial Accountant will work closely with both the finance team and wider business, providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis. This role requires more than just technical expertise — it calls for a curious, analytical mind and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting.
* Detailed financial analysis, identifying trends and key performance drivers.
* Support in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
* Partnering with commercial and operational teams to understand performance and support decision-making.
* Developing and refining reporting tools and dashboards to improve data visibility.
* Delivering time-critical information in a fast-paced environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with relevant commercial experience.
* Strong analytical skills with a passion for understanding data and translating it into meaningful insight.
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly organised and comfortable working to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
