SUPPORT WORKER THE LEVEL IPDU, NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT, 37HRS, GRADE 2 AS, £24,398, FTE Main Job Purpose To provide care and support within an inpatient detoxification unit to service users addressing issues associated with problematic substance misuse. Main Job Duties and Responsibilities To engage with the service users on a one to one and group basis, providing practical and personal care, supporting the multi-disciplinary team comprising of Doctors, Nurses and Support staff, dealing with a wide range of physical and emotional needs. Delivery of therapeutic interventions such as recovery groups. To assist in the administration of medication by countersigning controlled drugs with a nurse To undertake daily record keeping in line with the needs of the service and service user group Contribute to the review of procedures, guidance and team practice in team meetings/development days etc. General responsibilities Promote a no blame and can do culture.
