We are seeking an experienced, patient, and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Coventry, starting as soon as possible. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons that are tailored to the needs of pupils with additional learning needs. You will lead interventions, provide one-to-one and small group support, and work closely with the SENCo, teaching assistants, and parents to ensure consistent and personalised support. Your role will also include monitoring pupil progress, contributing to EHCP reviews, and helping pupils develop confidence and independence. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for pupils with SEND Develop and implement personalised learning plans and EHCP targets Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Work closely with teaching assistants to provide classroom support Monitor, observe, and record pupil progress accurately Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to coordinate support Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Lead small group interventions or one-to-one sessions as required Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a primary setting Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be proactive, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing The school is located in Coventry, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
