Randstad are recruiting for a BIM Manager to work with a Top Tier Main Contractor on a major infrastructure project in Central London. This is a contract role for 3-4 months. Hybrid working is possible but a minimum of 2 days on site in London Bridge will be required. Liaising directly with the project site team the BIM Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Coordinators / Modellers producing 2D and 3D information, as well as providing design coordination and information capture through BS1192 BIM processes. The role will focus on temporary work design, construction sequencing and design interrogation tasks, therefore, previous experience from working on live construction infrastructure projects is mandatory. The candidate will be ideally an advanced user of Bentley AECOsim/MicroStation and ProjectWise, but training can be provided to the right candidate as long as they can demonstrate previous experience with other CAD and modelling packages (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit). RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparing on behalf of the temporary works design team design drawings for use by the construction teams Liaising with methods engineering team to produce drawings and 3D models, expanding to 4D construction sequencing where applicable Keep up to date multi-discipline coordination models Liaising with the temporary works team to integrate temporary works design information Liaising with subcontractors to source and incorporate supply chain models · Creating logistics models for optimisation of site layouts and haulage routes Adding data attributes to the model where appropriate Communicate and record regularly with the whole BIM team and lessons learnt · Promote the use of BIM in all aspects of the scope of works. PERSON SPECIFICATION: (Qualifications, necessary experience, skills etc.) Have a detailed understanding of Bentley AECOsim/MicroStation and ProjectWise Have worked on a large scale Civil / Structural infrastructure project in the UK Industry-standard 2D and 3D CAD experience Ability to interpret 2D drawings and use industry-standard software to generate component-level 3D models Aware of the 'information' requirements of BIM Construction background/experience Good communicator and collaborative in approach - the role will involve working with numerous people from different parties Basic IT skills, sufficient to work with software vendors as necessary Innovative thinking - seeks opportunities to add value through use of technology and data Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
