Research Cardiac Physiologist
We are seeking a highly motivated recently graduated Research Physiologist to join the research team led by Professor Stuart Rosen at Ealing Hospital. This is a 6-month fixed-term post, with good potential for extension, depending on external grant funding.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering research project in autonomic assessment, combining clinical physiology with cutting-edge data science. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and executing research with substantial clinical impact.
Main duties of the job
* Conducting advanced physiological data acquisition in line with study protocols
* Designing, setting up, and managing clinical studies focused on autonomic dysregulation in compliance with research governance and ethics regulations
* Applying artificial intelligence tools to analyse and interpret large physiological datasets
* Maintaining meticulous research records and contributing to publications and presentations
* Assisting with the preparation of grant applications
* Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external healthcare Trusts

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
* BSc degree in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) in a related field
* Experience in research and development, ideally in a clinical setting
* Familiarity with clinical study design and data handling
* Strong analytical skills, particularly in AI/data science
* Master's level or higher degree in Cardiology
* ILS certification
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in research and development, ideally in a clinical setting
* Knowledge and experience in financial and resource management
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
The salary for this role is £44,485 to £52,521 a year, including High Cost Area Supplement pro rata.
