Overview
Imaging services (part of the Specialist Cancer & Support Services Care Group) at NHS Humber and North Lincolnshire and Goole (NLAG) NHS Foundation Trust and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) provide radiology across main hospital sites: Hull Royal Infirmary, Castle Hill Hospital, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital (Grimsby), Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole & District Hospital. A Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is planned to open at Scunthorpe later this year and at Hull early next year, increasing imaging capacity.
These new posts are to meet growing demand for radiology services at NLAG with the CDC openings. The appointee will join a team providing full spectrum of general radiology plus subspeciality work, with potential postings to Scunthorpe General Hospital or Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby.
Responsibilities
* Share the general workload of the department and develop special interests complementary to those of existing consultants locally and regionally.
* Contribute to clinical meetings, including multidisciplinary cancer meetings.
* Participate in a 1:6 on-call schedule for radiology.
* Be based at Scunthorpe General Hospital or Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby.
* Collaborate as part of a team of radiologists, with opportunities to join either the SGH or DPOW teams as appropriate.
Qualifications/Experience
* UK CCT in clinical radiology or eligibility via CESR; if not a UK CCT holder, progress toward CCT via CESR within an agreed period; progress reviewed regularly.
* The post can be tailored to a locum or part-time role.
* Experience in general radiology with potential subspecialty interests desirable.
