Main Purpose:
Lead and develop specialist psychiatry provision, supporting adults with acquired brain injury and associated conditions. The role follows a bio-psycho-social, recovery-focused model, helping individuals manage complex needs, stabilise medication, and rebuild life skills within a holistic, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric leadership and act as Responsible Clinician for detained patients under the Mental Health Act.

Conduct regular psychiatric assessments and reviews, ensuring evidence-based and person-centred care.
*
Lead and supervise medical and multidisciplinary teams within the neurobehavioral rehabilitation model.
*
Oversee care planning, goal setting, and outcome reviews for service users.
*
Build strong working relationships with families, external clinicians, and partner organisations.
*
Participate in non-residential on-call rota as required.
*
Promote equality, diversity, and high professional standards in all clinical practice.
Requirements:

Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
*
MRCPsych (or equivalent) and Section 12 approval under the Mental Health Act (1983/2007).
*
Experience in neuropsychiatry, rehabilitation psychiatry, or acquired brain injury desirable.
*
Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
