With a strong local presence and a growing reputation online, this business is entering an exciting new phase of growth and is looking for a talented Sales & Marketing Lead to join their team. About the Company Our client is a dynamic retailer with a large national ever expanding customer base. Their North Carlisle office is the hub for all central operations, including sales, marketing, and customer service. The Role As Sales & Marketing Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue and building strong relationships with both new and existing customers. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and collaborate with the wider team to deliver engaging marketing campaigns, manage digital channels, and ensure customers receive exceptional service at every touchpoint. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver individual sales and marketing initiatives Engage with existing and new customers via email and telephone Manage and update product listings on the company website Write engaging product descriptions and manage website content Oversee social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), including content planning and posting Maintain and grow the email client database, ensuring timely responses to queries and campaigns Monitor website and social media chat, providing excellent customer support Liaise with the team on stock, delivery times, and product availability Regularly review market trends, competitor activity, and fast-moving products Maintain up-to-date knowledge of online marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon What We’re Looking For Experience in a sales, marketing, or e-commerce environment (retail sector experience is a plus) Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (eBay, Amazon) and website management (WordPress advantageous) Demonstrable experience with social media for retail business Confident using Microsoft 365 and comfortable with large datasets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Proactive, adaptable, and a natural relationship-builder Able to work to targets and thrive in a busy, team-based environment What’s on Offer Competitive salary £32,000–£38,000 (depending on experience) plus 10% annual bonus 23 days holiday plus bank holidays 5% employer pension contribution Free on-site parking Clear progression path, including potential for a future Commercial Manager role Supportive, close-knit team environment Early finish on Fridays Location & Hours Office-based in North Carlisle, Monday–Friday: 8:30am–5:00pm with early finish at 2pm on Friday
