Job Description:
We are currently inviting final year Nursing Students to apply for Band 5 Staff Nurse positions within NHS Fife. We are recruiting for posts within Mental Health Service Areas across Fife.
You will be offered a permanent contract to work in our clinical environments or community teams across a variety of settings and locations across Fife.
NHS Fife has a strong commitment to providing newly qualified nurses with opportunities within their preferred clinical areas, offering support and development opportunities, including the Flying Start NHS programme in their first year.
If you are motivated and passionate about delivering high-quality compassionate care to our patients and their families, in line with organisational values, we would like to invite you to apply for Band 5 Staff Nurse positions within NHS Fife. We are recruiting for posts across our Mental Health services: Adult, Older Adult, Specialist, Forensics, and Addictions, in both inpatient and community settings.
Newly qualified nurses will be provided with the opportunity to consolidate their learning and develop knowledge, skills, and competence in supportive learning environments.
To help us find the right post for you, please tell us in the personal statement (which you will find in the application) your preferred specialism and location, and what values you would bring to the role.
Consideration will be given to applicants planning to undertake their 4th year who wish to work part-time during their studies.
Please be aware that all shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview the week commencing 3rd March.
How to apply:
NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. Your offer/contract of employment will reflect the new working hours. However, some service areas may need to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, until rosters or working patterns change to accommodate the new hours. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your Hiring Manager.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all employees are entitled to work in the UK. If you are not a UK or Irish national, you must confirm your right to work in your application.
NHS Scotland is committed to equality and diversity, fostering a workforce that is representative and where each employee feels respected. We welcome applications from all sections of society.
