The service runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:30 (with some flexibility which can be discussed at interview) with a multi‑professional approach incorporating doctors, nursing staff, physiotherapists and administrative staff. The post holder will work closely with a multi‑professional team across:
* Urogynaecology consultants
* Southampton specialised pelvic mesh complications service
* Pre‑assessment
* Early pregnancy/gynae assessment unit
* Bramshaw women's unit
* Theatres
* Maternity
Responsibilities
* Provide safe therapeutic management of a defined patient/client caseload.
* Work closely with the multi‑professional team.
* Have an understanding of urogynaecology and work within the urodynamic clinics.
* Be supported and receive training to ensure full knowledge and skills required by the role.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a Band 5 entry requiring a Degree qualification, 120 credits at L6 or possess equivalent knowledge assessed through evidence of relevant specialist training, experience or portfolio.
* Competent in urodynamic studies or motivation to undertake training and competence.
* Possesses excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Is able to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
Work Environment / Benefits
The urogynaecology nurse‑led service supports patients with over‑active bladder, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders including prolapse. The service provides a wide range of investigations, treatments and care pathways. Training is provided to perform diagnostic urodynamic studies and conservative therapies offered in the nurse‑led clinic. Flexible working within core hours is expected.
