The role: Managed and responded to high-volume media enquiries, coordinating with senior stakeholders and spokespeople. Planned and delivered proactive communications campaigns aligned with strategic policy objectives. Monitored media and political developments, identifying opportunities for timely reactive communications. Ensured external messaging remained accurate, consistent and compliant with internal approvals processes. Prepared spokespeople for media engagement through briefings, interview support and follow-up activity. Amplified communications activity across digital and owned channels, including websites and social media. Supported daily press office operations, including media monitoring, reporting, social media oversight and out-of-hours cover. The Person: As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: Experienced in public relations and fast-paced press office environments, with strong regional media awareness. Skilled in managing competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines and exercising strong news judgement. Confident drafting press releases and clear, accurate communications materials. Proficient in media distribution, content management and digital communication tools. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with expertise in using social media strategically across platforms.
