Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Glasgow

Facilities: The practice is Royal College Accredited, conforming to RCVS Practice Standards. They meet strict criteria for facilities, diagnostic equipment (x-rays, ECG, ultrasound, laboratory analysis), nursing care, anesthesia, and medications. They are also an RCVS-approved Training Practice for Veterinary Nurses.
Team Info: The team includes 4 surgeons, 4 RVNs, 2 ACAs, and 2 Receptionists.
Role: Due to a team member's departure, they are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a permanent position.
Duties: Responsibilities include assisting with hospitalized patients, dispensing medication, monitoring anesthesia, preparing laboratory samples, and supporting diagnostic imaging (X-rays, Ultrasound), as well as pre- and post-operative patient care.
Working Hours: The schedule offers a good work-life balance with one out of three Fridays off, and weekday start times at 8:30 am or 9:00 am, finishing around 5:30 pm or 6:30 pm. They work one Saturday every four weeks (9 am - 1 pm). The hours and salary can be customized to fit the team and individual needs.
Support: The practice is managed by the Head Nurse and Principal Vet. They support CPD and training, including ECC and Schedule 3 work, and facilitate nurse training through RCVS accreditation. The Head Nurse is a Clinical Coach for student nurses.
Salary: Depending on experience, from £24,750 to £30,000 annually for a 40-hour week.
