Hays Education is currently working with a warm and weing primary school that has a strong focus on inclusion, nurture and positive relationships. The school ismitted to supporting every child as an individual and provides a calm, structured environment where pupils feel safe, valued and supported to succeed.We are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with SEN and challenging behaviour. The child is working at an EYFS level and has a named EHCP, so this role would suit someone patient, consistent and confident, supporting children with additional needs.
The role will involve:
1. Providing 1:1 support throughout the school day
2. Supporting learning at an EYFS developmental level
3. Implementing strategies from the child’s EHCP
4. Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour positively
5. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
We are looking for someone who:
6. Has previous experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally with EHCPs
7. Is confident supporting challenging behaviour
8. Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
9. Is calm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about supporting children.
