Position Overview

This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification. If you are applying as a trainee teacher, the College's Trainee Teacher programme will include funding for your teaching qualification, as well as mentoring support and coaching from our experienced team. In addition, the DfE Taking Teaching Further funding also offers eligible recruits a £6,000 incentive payment.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join our passionate and high‑performing team on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role involves teaching on a variety of study programmes including Level 1, 2 and 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and the T‑Level in Health programme with pathways in Adult Nursing, Mental Health, and Midwifery.


Responsibilities

* Teach within the Health and Social Care team on a range of programmes, delivering effective learning for students
* Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality teaching as required by your Line Manager
* Develop and share resources for the subject, maintaining effective links across the College
* Regularly assess students to track and monitor progress
* Maintain comprehensive, up‑to‑date student/subject records and provide information as requested
* Support trainees and staff meet teaching standards and curriculum objectives


Qualifications

* 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
* Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
* Recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment
* Higher degree or advanced qualification (preferred)
* Background in a clinical role (e.g., Nursing or Midwifery) or specialism in Biology is preferred
