Veritas Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Romford to recruit an experienced Year 1 Teacher for a part-time job share role, working Thursdays and Fridays.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced KS1 teacher to join a strong Year 1 team in a well-organised and collaborative setting. The successful candidate will work alongside an established job-share partner, ensuring consistency and continuity for pupils across the week.
This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner who is secure in their knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and has a strong understanding of phonics, early reading, and age-related expectations in Year 1.
Importantly, there is no end-of-year report writing required, making this an especially attractive opportunity for a teacher seeking excellent work-life balance while remaining in a fulfilling classroom role.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for:
A qualified teacher with solid KS1 experience
A confident practitioner (ECTs will not be considered for this post)
Strong knowledge of phonics and early literacy development
A positive and proactive attitude
Excellent classroom management skills
A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues and parentsThe school is particularly keen to appoint someone who can quickly integrate into the team and maintain the high standards already established within the year group.
