Materials Analysis is an Oxford Instruments Business Unit that manages our Electron Microscopy and Mechanical Microscopy products, Atomic Force Microscopes, Raman Microscopes and Benchtop NMR Products. We are part of the wider Oxford Instruments Group that also includes Andor Technology, NanoScience, Plasma Technology and X-Ray Technology. We are looking for an AFM Applications Specialist to join our Applications team.

1. You want to contribute as an in-house AFM expert, providing technical expertise and support both internally and externally

3. Have experience and extensive knowledge of the theory and operation of AFM’s.

Role and responsibilities:
14. Plan and execute best in class demonstrations and application work for eAFM products (incl. sample preparation).
15. Compile comprehensive and sales supportive reports in a timely manner.
16. Perform customer trainings.
17. Join joint customer meetings with relevant members of the organisation.
18. Proactively visit and support customers in alignment with leadership.
19. Support running workshops, webinars, and hands-on sessions.
20. Support creating marketing material in form of application notes, blog posts and others; support development of marketing specifications for new product solutions through Voice of Customer.
21. Ensure feedback of market intelligence and potential product enhancements to all relevant members of the organisation.
22. Support the testing of prototype products and relevant analysis for market usability/suitability and providing feedback to the relevant members of the organisation.
23. Proactively log daily activities.
24. Facilitate a clean and safe working environment.
Location and working hours:
We are based in High Wycombe on the Cressex Business Park and have hybrid working, which includes 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. We have a 37-hour working week and finish on Fridays at 12:30.
