Job Description The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Health and Education team are currently seeking to recruit proactive, organised, professional, and enthusiastic students currently studying at Manchester Met to work as Subject Support Ambassadors. Successful applicants will assist in the delivery of the University's core recruitment and widening participation strategies. Successful candidates will be required to provide information to prospective students including the benefits of higher education and address the key selling points of Manchester Met. The Subject Ambassador roles are casual, offering flexibility when working around study commitments. Work opportunities are more frequent during school semesters. Your duties include: Representing your course and subject area at upcoming recruitment events. Support academics during recruitment events such as answering questions prospective students and guests may have, assisting with presentations and facility demonstrations. Approaching visitors to offer assistance (e.g. providing directions) and answer questions. Act as a tour guide giving visitors an informative overview of the university campuses and telling them about student life. They are particularly looking for students currently enrolled in the following courses: Education BA (Hons) Education BA (Hons) Education with Foundation Year Early Years and Childhood Studies BA (Hons) Early Years and Childhood Studies BA (Hons) Early Years and Childhood Studies with Foundation Year Speech and Language Therapy BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy Special and Inclusive Education BA (Hons) Special and Inclusive Education Social Work BA (Hons) Social Work Social Care BA (Hons) Health and Social Care Date: Wednesday 17 June 2026 Times: 09:00am - 4:00pm (7 hours) Event: University Open Day Location: Brooks building Person Specification This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements - Undergraduate student in the Faculty of Health and Education particularly those enrolled on the courses in the Job Description Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with staff, prospective students and teachers Responsible attitude and the ability to show initiative Able to contribute and work effectively as part of a team or independently A commitment to providing excellent customer service and a professional approach, at all times A positive perspective on HE, educational experiences more broadly, and the University Able to work flexibly to ensure smooth delivery of events How to Apply Please apply via the Apply button, completing the form on the next page.
