Clinical Technologist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Technologist within the Medical Equipment Management Team, at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service.
The postholder will help provide medical equipment management services to a range of NHS and other customers, supporting the clinical use of a range of highly specialist medical equipment in areas including critical care units, theatres, general wards, and community sites. This includes fault‑finding, repairing breakdowns, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, safety checks, assisting with the investigation of medical equipment related incidents and problem solving in the clinical environment.
You will be qualified to SCQF level 9 qualification in an electronics or medical engineering discipline, or equivalent training and experience, and experience of working within an electronic servicing role.
We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team to ensure the day-to-day running of the service. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as is a flexible and methodical approach to the required tasks. This post may involve travelling and working at various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.

You will work across many clinical specialities, supporting the delivery of world class healthcare at four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.
