Job Overview
Health Care Support Worker vacancies: 1 full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, within the Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services at Annwylfan Ward, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly.
Shift patterns include working 7 days a week on 12-hour day and night shifts. Flexible working patterns may be considered.
Main duties of the job
Annwylfan is a 16-bed Older Adult Mental Health Dementia Assessment ward. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other professionals. You must be an excellent team player, motivated, and enthusiastic about working in a demanding but rewarding environment. Flexibility to work rotational shift patterns covering 24 hours is essential. An interest in older adult inpatient care and the ability to work in a busy, challenging environment are important. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
