A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m a 92 year old woman living in Cross Inn, Llantrisant. My mobility is limited so I have suitable aids around the home to help get around, for example a wheelchair and stairlift.
The type of person we require must be friendly and be respectful and willing to under take house old tasks and be able to hold a flowing conversation
I’m a friendly person who enjoys good and informed conversations. I enjoy watching TV.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This is a 7 hour over two days position to provide respite for my son who is my main carer. Your role will be based in my home to support me with daily living tasks and maintain independence as far as possible.
HOURS OF WORK
Seven hours per week split between two days and would include shower calls,
6 months trial period and cover holiday for our other PA.
RATES OF PAY
£15.50 per hour
TASKS WILL INCLUDE
1. Providing a sitting service when my son goes out
2. Engaging me in conversation, making and enjoying a cuppa with me
3. Light domestic assistance as requested, for example wiping down kitchen worktops or mopping floor
4. Assisting me in my wheelchair to the toilet. I do not require hands on support to use the toilet
5. Assisting me to have a shower twice a week. I have a walk-in shower
6. Female required due to personal care.
7. Must be respectful and willing to undertake household tasks.
8. Someone able to hold a flowing conversation and provide good company.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
9. Someone who can have an easy and flowing conversation with me
10. A sensible person with a mature outlook
11. Although experience isn’t essential it will help if you are naturally caring and empathetic
12. Someone who can commit to a job, is reliable and friendly
