Global Social Media Manager

Description

Reporting to the Global Head of Social we have formed a new role in our team for a Global Social Media Manager. You will be responsible for the daily running of the Global owned social channels, executing the social strategy by crafting a compelling social content calendar and being the voice of the ELEMIS social community.



Key Responsibilities


Social Content
* Work collaboratively with Global Head of Social, Influencer and PR managers, and the wider Global marketing team to develop brand, campaign and product social strategies.
* Action the Global social strategy with a focus on Instagram and TikTok, including social commerce opportunities, alongside the wider e-commerce and digital marketing teams.
* Execute social media content ideas, collaborating with the in-house Creative team, external agencies, content creators or producing content directly, to fulfil requirements for owned social content, including attending events and shoots. Practise effective communication and sharing amongst teams for further amplification of content.
* Identify and brief content creators when necessary for the creation of compelling social content for use across organic and paid social.
* Support sales channels by strategizing and executing bespoke social media campaigns to achieve their business objectives, with particular emphasis on QVC, Spa & Salon and Retail teams.
* Produce monthly and quarterly global reports for leadership, with clear actionable takeaways and recommendations for growth, as well as campaign wrap-ups.
* Share social media trends, best practices, platform updates and competitor activity cross-functionally.
* Work cross functionally with regional social media teams ensuring alignment and adherence across campaigns, content and overall approach.
* Work closely with the in-house social media creator to brief content.


Team
* Manage and develop the Social Media Executive and work closely on briefing the Social Digital Designer with owned social creative requirements.
* Work collaboratively with the Global Head of Social on projects, as and when required.
* Work closely with the Influencer Marketing Managers across regions to support the social content calendar, ensuring the right balance of global and local content is featured.
* Work closely with regional teams on any local market activations across social and content.
* Work closely with the partnerships team to deliver best in class social content to support ELEMIS partnerships and ambassadors.




Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Strategic Thinker: strong understanding of commercial digital marketing and social media trends.
* Performance Analysis: Monitoring engagement metrics and analysing performance to optimize strategies and improve brand visibility. Highly numerate and versed in reporting analytics.
* Collaboration: Partnering with designers, copywriters, and multiple teams to ensure content aligns with business objectives,
* Tools knowledge: Beyond use of all social channels, experience using social media scheduling, social listening, community management and analytics tools, such as Emplifi and Dash Hudson and GA4.
* Strong level of creative writing skills essential with a high level of attention to detail.
* Industry intelligence: strong understanding of the luxury beauty and skincare landscape, informed on competitor activity, and takes inspiration from various sources.
* Collaboration: Approaches people and stakeholders with openness and transparency, gets buy-in by proactively building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, respects the impact of the departments work on other teams, and builds the credibility of the department.
* Leadership: Leads from the front to inspire and motivate the team, engages in coaching conversations to support team members, encourages ownership and accountability within the team and promotes a safe learning space for the team.
* Adaptability: Leans into change and uncertainty, navigates this with understanding, can manage the direction of others, reduces disruption.
