We are currently working with one of our global clients who are looking to bring a Demand Planner into their Supply Chain Function, they manufacture household names for retail consumers, in turn they are looking for someone who has exposure to dealing with high volume orders and large quantity numbers. Dealing with retail orders and customers, who may be sporadic within the order process when it comes to quantity and dealing with seasonal boosts and market trends.
Demand Planner – The Role:
Planning the Demand and Supply of a portfolio of items, with excellent accuracy on the short, mid and long term and replenishment of stock in order to ensure benchmark services to customers at best inventory level, cost and quality standards.
Responsible to achieve agreed SFD, stock levels and CSL, monitoring ICSL and SSL for the defined portfolio.
Continuously review the Sales/Production forecast of the portfolio of a country or a group of countries on short, mid and long term in quality and order value.
Order items from production sites, suppliers and co-packers, following up deliveries in order to fulfil the sales/production plan in timing and quantities.
Communicating, managing and solving problems on actual and potential supply chain issues.
Maintaining and periodically reviewing the master data in SAP and IPB to implement adequate forecasting model, replenishment and stock strategies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Coordinating co-packing activities with a focus on availability, saving on cost, production schedule and raw material/stock replenishment.
Coordinating import activities where needed.
Ensuring the sales forecast input from the other department is on time and accurate, taking into consideration, Promotions, Launches and Delisting.
Preparing data for the bi-monthly review and consensus meetings.
Managing SCM related tasks of quality issues.
Managing Phase in and Phase out situations and SLOBs.
Continuously improve operational efficiencies and process improvements around the supply chain.
Demand Planner – Package:
Salary – £35-36k.
Extremely attainable 15% bonus. Annually.
