About the School
Lady Barn House School is a thriving independent day preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3–11, set in an attractive site in Cheadle with outstanding facilities. Lady Barn House is a warm, ambitious and forward-thinking community, where staff play a vital role in celebrating and supporting school life.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Holiday Club Manager to lead our well-established Holiday Club provision, Barney's Breakout. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and develop a high-quality childcare service that offers children a safe, stimulating and engaging holiday experience which complements the school's curriculum.
Working closely with the Bursar and Head of HR, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Holiday Club, including staff supervision, safeguarding, programme planning, parent liaison and budget oversight. Acting as an ambassador for the school, you will welcome both Lady Barn pupils and children from the wider community, ensuring excellent standards of care and compliance with all relevant policies and Ofsted requirements.
This permanent, part-time role operates during school holidays (excluding Christmas), with additional paid weeks for planning and preparation. It is ideal for a confident, organised and child-centred professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding holiday provision within an educational setting.
Conditions of Service
Lady Barn House School operates its own salary scale. The Holiday Club Manager will be required to work during all school holidays, except for Christmas when the school is fully closed. The Holiday Club runs from 8am to 6pm, and the Manager will be expected to work a minimum of eight hours each day. This will include time before opening or after closing to allow for set-up and preparation as needed. The role will also include responsibility for opening and locking up the premises on occasion. The preparation time of five weeks may be worked flexibly and can include a combination of home-based and office-based working, with the expectation that the post holder maintains an appropriate on-site presence as required to support effective planning and delivery.
