St Columba's Catholic Boys' School is looking to appoint a Site Assistant.
The core purpose of the role is to be a vital part of the Site Team, facilitating and supporting teaching and learning in the school. The postholder will work for the Site & Compliance Manager, assisting with all day-to-day tasks and responsibilities relating to facilities needs across the school. This will involve tasks such as room set ups, portering, security, health & safety, litter picking and cleaning, repairs and more (see Job Description for details).
We hope to attract someone who possesses specific skills, such as plumbing, maintenance, repairs, and who is keen to take responsibility. This role involves being “on your feet” for the majority of the day. No day is the same at St Columba's and you will enjoy a role with a variety of tasks. Note: there is an opportunity for the right candidate to take on an extra 12.5 hours per week as a cleaner – to be discussed at interview.
This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification.
Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.
