We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Control Engineer to lead our Service Control Engineers. The successful candidate will manage a team of Control Engineers in providing Technical Support & aftersales care for our products in the Offshore Energy sector; ensuring clients’ needs are met in a professional & timely manner.\nYou will be responsible for:\n * Leadership and development of a small team of Control Engineers.\n * Providing Technical support, Investigation and resolution of Control System related issues across a wide range of our products.\n * Implementing upgrades and updates to existing equipment.\n * Ensuring customers are well supported in their service needs and technical issues are resolved quickly and efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction.\n * Efficient Management & Prioritisation of workload for the Engineers.\n * Delivering a high standard of work in line with our Software quality control procedures.\nJob requirements:\n * Strong engineering background with a thorough technical knowledge of Control, Automation and Safety Systems and equipment\n * Appropriate Computer/Engineering related qualification (degree/HND) or comparable industrial experience\n * Experience in:\n * Design of control & automation systems\n * Programming of PLC, HMI & SCADA systems\n * Commissioning, Testing and Client Support of industrial control systems\n * Involvement throughout the whole project lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and documentation\n * Management & Development of a small team of Engineers\n * Working for clients in the marine, subsea, oil & gas and renewables market.\n * Recent experience of a similar role in a bespoke engineering environment / providing service support\n * Role requires a mixture of working from our onsite facility in the North East and other client sites / vessels around the world.\n * Experience of working to ISO9001 or equivalent in a project based organisation.\n * A high level of competence with IT systems and tools\n * Excellent Customer Service skills\nDesirable Skills / Attributes:\n * Experience of Siemens TIA Portal / Unified (preferred)\n * Experience of Rockwell or Mitsubishi platforms\n * Experience of configuring & commissioning Variable Speed Drives (Siemens, Nidec & ABB)\n * Previous experience within the Marine / Offshore / Subsea environment\n * Knowledge & experience of relevant functional safety standards (IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC13849)\n * Chartered Engineer status\n * Availability to travel at short notice\nDue to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area.
