The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated lighting professional to undertake a key role within the Road Lighting team. As an Assistant Lighting Engineer, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop and grow within the Highways Service working on a diverse range of lighting projects.
The role is responsible for assisting in the management and programming of pro-active maintenance and Capital improvements. You would undertake the design, procurement, and management of small lighting improvements.
You will also be responsible for the management and maintenance of the asset management system ensuring lighting data is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Management and reporting of unmetered and metered electricity supplies, year-end forecasting and make recommendations where further energy reduction measures can be made.
Provide technical advice, support, and instruction to colleagues across the Highways and Transport service in respect to exterior lighting design, maintenance, improvements, and asset management systems.
