Job Title: Bookkeeper
Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit a Bookkeeper into their team on a part-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
2. Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements.
3. Prepare VAT returns.
4. Proactively chase outstanding arrears and payments.
5. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
6. Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets.
7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Manage tax filings and liaise with external auditors.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Proof of completed training as an accountant.
* Good understanding of accounting principles.
* Strong IT and finance system skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
