A leading global alternative investment manager with a long‑established track record is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join its London‑based compliance function. The firm operates across multiple asset classes, including corporate credit, real estate‑related investments, event‑driven strategies and equity‑linked products, with a strong focus on research‑driven, fundamental investing.
Job Description
Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis
3. Monitor regulatory developments across relevant regimes and communicate updates internally.
4. Interpret regulatory notices, bulletins, and guidance materials and support implementation across business units.
Compliance Testing & Controls
5. Conduct routine internal compliance audits and assessments.
6. Perform monitoring of investment activities, transactions, and operational processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external rules.
Policy & Framework Development
7. Assist in drafting, updating, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
8. Maintain compliance documentation, manuals, and registers.
Reporting & Recordkeeping
9. Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory stakeholders.
10. Maintain accurate and organised records of compliance reviews, decisions, approvals, and exceptions.
Training & Advisory
11. Support delivery of training on compliance topics to staff.
12. Serve as a point of contact for internal compliance queries.
Incident Management
13. Investigate potential breaches, exceptions, and compliance‑related issues and support remediation actions.
The Successful Applicant
Essential
14. Experience in regulatory compliance within financial services or investment management.
15. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to investment firms.
16. Prior experience supporting compliance monitoring programmes.
Desirable
17. Professional compliance certifications (e.g., CISI, ICA).
18. Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related field.
