Job Description We are seeking an experienced and committed National Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neuro-Oncology to join our nursing team at GenesisCare UK. In this national role, you will lead the delivery of expert nursing care to patients with primary or secondary brain and central nervous system (CNS) tumours, with a key focus on supporting services at our Oxford and London centres. As the designated Key Worker, you will coordinate and deliver person-centred care, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their treatment. You will play a key role in advancing our Neuro-Oncology services and setting consistent standards of care across sites. What You’ll Do: Serve as Key Worker for a dedicated caseload of Neuro-Oncology patients, coordinating care and providing expert clinical support. Develop and deliver a high-quality, consistent Neuro-Oncology nursing pathway across Oxford and London centres. Collaborate with consultants and the wider clinical team to ensure personalised, evidence-based care. Support service development and continuous quality improvement in Neuro-Oncology across GenesisCare UK. Lead and contribute to education, training, and audit initiatives to drive best practice. What You’ll Have: Experience and Skills: Registered adult nurse with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, including 2 years in oncology, palliative care or a related speciality. Experience in Neuro-Oncology or CNS tumour care (desirable). Prior experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or in an advanced practice role (desirable). Confident working both autonomously and collaboratively across services. Strong clinical leadership, communication, and service improvement skills. Qualifications and Knowledge: First level degree in a relevant subject. Post-registration qualification in cancer, palliative care or related field. Evidence of study at Master’s level or willingness to work towards it. Training in advanced communication skills and psychological support (desirable). Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent (desirable). Additional Requirements: Ability to travel regularly between Oxford and London centres, and to other GenesisCare UK sites or meetings as required.
