Our Client, a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor are actively looking to add a Sub Agent to their Civils Team working on a Major Highways Infrastructre project in Cumbria. The Role: You will play a critical role in the technical delivery of a high profile Highways infrastructure project and will be responsible for ensuring the Techincal Engineering elements along with quality control, and coordination of on-site engineering activities are sucessfully delivered. This position suits an experienced Section/Senior Engineer looking to step up, or an established Sub Agent seeking a long-term opportunity working on a high profile Infrastructure project. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the project team to refine and optimise the construction delivery plan. * Develop lean construction methodologies and support programme development. * Prepare PCF Products, RAMS, and other key documentation for mobilisation. * Lead on major utility diversions and manage the engineering team. * Ensure compliance with construction drawings and manage quality control. * Maintain accurate site records, including diaries and allocation sheets. * Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance. * Attend and contribute to weekly site and design coordination meetings. * Support cost control through regular Cost to Complete reviews. Requirements: * Proven experience in a similar engineering management role, ideally on National Highways projects or frameworks. * Extensive setting out and engineering experience on infrastructure, utilities & civils projects * SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card (Engineer or higher level) * Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer: * Permanent role on Large Infrastructure Project * Excellent career progression opportunities * Competitive salary car/allowance full benefits * Supportive engineering team and strong site leadership Essential * Civil Engineering Qualification / HND / HNC Degree or Equivelant * Previous experience working on Highways, Infrastructure projects * IT literacy – Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
