Description
Oversee all day-to-day activities in the depot liaising directly with the Depot Manager to ensure all client KPIs are met and the depot functions in a profitable and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
Under the Depot Manager (DM) ensure the smooth and safe running of the depot operations to ensure achievement of performance targets. These include meeting safety, revenue, profitability and cash flow generation objectives, as well as customer KPIs.
With the Depot Manager strive to deliver the highest standard of work possible.
Assist the DM with asset management and scheduling and commercial function across the region, meeting targets and compliance and developing a high-performance culture - Asset write off and / or pass on cost to client / contract
Ensuring that business KPIs and Profitability are achieved and/ or exceeded. (Measures may change in line with budget).
Maintain / improve operational efficiency, cost and service levels, ensuring operational compliance.
Review current and planned workloads to ensure full resource utilisation.
Assisting the DM so that the operations meet all Health & Safety Environmental requirements and any other relevant legislation.
Health and Safety within the depots, ensuring compliance and best practice. Use a lessons learnt approach to enable a culture of continuous improvement within the Depot.
Produce and deliver Briefings to update staff on Compliance, GTM performance with the support of the HSEQ lead.
Submit Fatigue Management reports where needed.
Maintain effective communications within the Depot and with other departments
With the Regional Manager and Project Managers ensure the BD plan is executed, and jobs are handed over to operatives or safe and efficient delivery. The Depot Manager is responsible for the final handover assurance.
Ensure subcontractor allocation maintains profitability and operational effectiveness.
Assist with ensuring the necessary daily compliance forms and that they are correct. Missing forms to be chased up with the operatives.
Daily vehicle checks, daily lock checks, weekly gang checks, and NAIL forms
Administration of Depot mailbox / email inbox.
Ensure the depot remains compliant with customer KPIs by utilizing the Power BI software.
Liaise with client regarding site queries and support TM Operatives with any site queries. Maintain a good working relationship with all clients.
Assist with checking of time sheet and submit for processing
Liaise with Depot Supervisor regarding all aspects of kit levels.
Assist with keeping depot stock levels of PPE and Vinyl to operating levels.
Be commercially aware of any jobs that require subcontractor assistance.
Report any HR issues to the Depot Manager and assist in their resolution
Resolve any pay queries for the operatives with the DM.
Experience and Qualifications

Record keeping job holder should be able to demonstrate records of work undertaken and completed as well as work in progress

Initiative and confidence job holder should be able to demonstrate a willingness to contribute new ideas to improve things and should be able to determine when to refer a matter to someone else or whether to deal with it themselves
Experience and Qualifications Relative Industry Experience
IOSH Certificate
Preferably Lantra M7 or LTMO or TSCO
Full clean driving licence
Auditing experience
