An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen at a Top 30 international law firm for a Senior Associate or Legal Director to spearhead the growth of a dedicated Non-Contentious IP practice in Manchester.

The Role
Based in Manchester, you will lead the development and expansion of the non-contentious IP offering. Working alongside the existing contentious IP Lead, you will take ownership of a growing workload, encompassing brand protection, trade mark matters, copyright, and related commercial issues.
This role is not about fitting into an existing hierarchy; it is a genuine chance to create and shape a niche team, guiding relationships with clients and influencing business development through training sessions, thought leadership, and strategic networking.
A robust pipeline of work is already in place, supported by junior team members, giving you the foundation to focus on top-tier advisory and leadership responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
* A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years' PQE specialising in non-contentious IP
* Experience gained at a national, international, or leading West End law firm
* Strong expertise in trademarks, copyright, brand protection, and commercial IP issues
* A commercially minded, client-focused approach combined with a collaborative leadership style
* Ambition to build a sustainable practice with clear routes to partnership and firm-wide recognition
